I always feel proud to be part of Global Leadership Retreat by Maricopa Community Colleges District (MCCCD) in Lake Pleasant, Arizona (in the Valley of the Sun). Last November, We had a great time on the lake with almost 150 students around the world. Lake Pleasant is one of the most scenic water recreation areas in the State of Arizona. There is a great picnic area, great hiking spots and beautiful locations to take photos. The water is cool. You can launch your boat if you have. However, if you don’t have then you can rent one either a boat or a jet ski. When it’s too hot in the Phoenix and you can’t afford to go to the North, then Lake Pleasant is the perfect location. Although its just 50 miles from the Central Phoenix (Downtown) but the temperature is always cooler than Phoenix. It is an also a great place for camp overnight. The atmosphere is really nice in the night. You can feel the nature and a clear sky with thousands of the star shining in the sky. However, you need to have sufficient lighting for the night because you never know. Take a torch or flash light with you for the safety purposes.
